Deerskin Pillow Care
Deer leather can be washed and dried without damaging or discoloring the skin with a mild soap and water. Since it is an absorbent leather avoid rubbing stains, you will only make it worse. Blot stains carefully. Apply a layer of flour or baby powder to greasy stains and let it soak the grease overnight. Allow the leather to dry naturally. The next day use a soft brush to remove the soiled powder.

Water-repellent treatments that affect the breath-ability of the skin are not recommended. Test conditioners on a small, inconspicuous part of the leather to make sure it will not damage or stain the leather.
